Paper Birds

Paper Birds  is an innovative augmented reality (AR) game developed using Unity and ARCore, where players take control of a paper plane and navigate through the skies, aiming to fly through floating portals to destroy them. Set in an immersive AR environment,  Paper Birds  challenges players to master their flying skills across three increasingly difficult levels, each filled with dynamic obstacles and targets suspended in the air.

 Role and Responsibilities: 

1.  Game Design: 

   - Conceptualizing the core gameplay mechanics, including the control of the paper plane and the interactions with portals and obstacles.

   - Designing three distinct levels that progressively increase in difficulty, providing players with new challenges and environments to explore.

2.  Unity Integration: 

   - Implementing ARCore to create a realistic and interactive AR environment, where portals and other objects are dynamically positioned in the player's surroundings.

   - Integrating Unity's physics and input systems to allow smooth and responsive control of the paper plane, ensuring an engaging and intuitive experience.

3.  Programming: 

   - Writing scripts to manage plane movement, collision detection, and the destruction of portals when successfully flown through.

   - Developing a level progression system that tracks player progress, unlocks new levels, and increases the challenge as they advance.

4.  AR Implementation: 

   - Utilizing ARCore's capabilities to anchor virtual objects in the player's real-world environment, creating an immersive experience where portals appear to float in the air.

   - Ensuring that the AR elements interact naturally with the player's surroundings, making the gameplay feel realistic and engaging.

5.  Testing and Debugging: 

   - Conducting extensive testing across different devices to ensure the game performs smoothly in various AR environments.

   - Iterating on game mechanics and level design based on testing feedback, refining the controls and interactions to provide the best possible player experience.
